Oral History Project

A core part of the Sheffield Feminist Archive Project is our oral history project.  We aim to capture the stories and memories of individuals who have been involved in feminist and gender equality activism, past and present, whether in a large or small way. You can read about a selection of the individuals who have shared their stories on the Interviewees page.

All our volunteer interviewers have been trained by the Oral History Society and are very friendly! Interviews can be conducted at a time and location which suits you.

The collected interviews will be deposited at Sheffield Archives for long-term access and preservation.  They will form an invaluable resource, both for the city and nationally, helping to document the struggle for gender equality.

If you are interested in being interviewed please email the Sheffield Feminist Archive Project at sheffieldfeministarchive@gmail.com.
